Industrial Grade · Technical Grade — Bulk supply across India & International Markets
Zinc Chloride (ZnCl₂) is a white crystalline solid that is highly soluble in water, alcohol, and glycerol. It is one of the most important zinc compounds in industrial use, known for its strong hygroscopic nature and excellent fluxing properties. It is produced by the reaction of zinc with hydrochloric acid or by the roasting of zinc sulfide.
Polychem Industries supplies Zinc Chloride in industrial and technical grades to manufacturers across India and internationally. Its wide range of applications — from galvanising and soldering to textile treatment and water purification — makes it one of the most versatile industrial chemicals in our catalog.
| Grade | Form | Purity | Standard | Applications |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Industrial Grade | White Powder / Granules | ≥ 96% | Industrial | Galvanising, flux, textile processing |
| Technical Grade | Powder / Solution | ≥ 98% | Technical | Chemical synthesis, laboratory, electronics |
Used extensively as a flux in hot-dip galvanising of steel and iron to remove oxides from metal surfaces and ensure proper zinc coating adhesion.
A primary ingredient in soldering fluxes used in electronics, plumbing, and metalwork. It cleans metal surfaces and prevents oxidation during soldering.
Used in the textile industry as a mordant for dyeing, in the manufacture of viscose rayon, and for fireproofing and waterproofing of fabrics.
Used as a wood preservative and fire retardant. Applied to timber to protect against fungal decay, insects, and fire in construction applications.
Used as an electrolyte in dry cell batteries and in the manufacture of printed circuit boards and electronic components.
Applied in industrial water treatment processes as a coagulant and in the control of hydrogen sulphide in sewage treatment systems.
Used as a Lewis acid catalyst in organic chemistry for Friedel-Crafts reactions and various other chemical synthesis processes.
Used in the production of zinc cement, as a component in dental cements, and as an activator in rubber vulcanisation processes.
